Since its inception, the Festival has tried to put the youth forward. It is through the two sections intended for two different types of audiences that we are able to introduce the festival to young filmmakers and small festival-goers.

Since our second Edition, in 2017, we have been offering a  ASPIRING FILMMAKERS  Competition, exclusively dedicated to young filmmakers under 21 from all over the world. The winners of the Jury's Prize and the Public's Prize will each receive a camera kit valued at $ 1,750 offered by Le Square and La Grande Bibliothèque BAnQ, in collaboration with Royal Photo.

A workshop, dedicated to creative teenagers, allowing them to meet a figure of Quebec cinema, is also offered in partnership with Le Lab Québec Cinéma and Le Square each year as part of the  ASPIRING FILMMAKERS  section.
