The series centers on the stories and portraits of six actresses navigating different stages of their careers. Passionate about what they do, they nonetheless share a common longing: to step beyond the roles they’ve been confined to. Each episode weaves together documentary moments with fictional monologues, inviting the actresses to embody their dream “anti?casting” roles. Through this interplay of confession and performance, Femmes à modeler offers an honest, contemporary perspective on the stereotypes shaping female casting and on these artists’ drive to break out of the molds imposed on them.
