Black Fruit
By David Uzochukwu, Elisha Smith-Leverock
Lalo’s life has imploded: his father has died, his relationship is crumbling, and he’s spiraling into impulsive choices. At least he has Karla, his straight-talking best friend. But as these queer Black friends navigate love, work, and family in Germany, they must confront the limits of their adaptability—and the tensions within their own friendship.
