Julien G. Marcotte

Screenwriter and director

A Quebec filmmaker. With Jani Bellefleur-Kaltush, he co-directed "Katshinau (Les Mains sales)", which won Best Canadian Short Film at the 2023 Vancouver International Film Festival and was featured in the TIFF 2023 Year-End Canadian Top 10. His first short film, "Louise de 9 à 5", was released in 2021.

Florence Lafond

Screenwriter and director

She co-wrote the screenplay for the series *Je voudrais qu’on m’efface* (I Wish I Could Be Erased). This project earned her the Gémeaux Award for Best Screenplay for a Dramatic Digital Series. She was also a finalist in the 2020 Cours écrire ton court (Write Your Short Film) competition for her short film *Jusqu’à ce que tu meures* (Until You Die). Florence is currently working on adapting Kim Thúy’s novel *Em* into an animated feature film.

Clotilde Vatrinet

Director of Events at Les Films du 3 Mars

She joined the KINO movement and volunteered there, continuing to work as a script supervisor and serving coffee. In 2010, she discovered film distribution by joining the team at Les Films du 3 Mars, an organization dedicated to promoting Quebec/Canadian independent cinema. It was with this same commitment that she joined the Board of Directors of Ciné Tapis Rouge in 2014.

Ralph Prosper

Known for his regular role as police receptionist François Asselin in the television series District 31. He received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for best performance in a live-action drama short film, for the film Someone's Trying to Get In.

Philippe Vanasse-Paquet

After a ten-year career as an actor and voice actor (French voice of Spider in Avatar 2), he was called upon to direct four years ago, making his first short film, Captive (in which he also played the lead role). Since then, he has directed two short films, a documentary, won seven awards and received around twenty nominations, and founded his own production company.

Maxime Dupuis

Executive Director of FRIMAT

A filmmaker from Abitibi, he completed his film studies at the University of Montreal in 2017. Since then, he has produced several projects as a screenwriter and director. He focuses on interpersonal relationships, with a particular interest in love/hate dynamics. He is also heavily involved in the region's cultural scene, notably as a member of the organizing committee for FRIMAT, a festival dedicated to emerging musical talent from the region and across Quebec.

For 25 years, this visionary artist has been shaping the world of electronic music with a unique sonic signature, combining the raw power of electro beats with the melodic finesse of pop.

Nadia Louis-Desmarchais

An Afro-feminist filmmaker who aspires to give a voice to those who are too often refused to be heard. Drawing on her life experience in her creative process, she has directed the short documentaries "The World Is Theirs", "Tell Me About My Body", "Urban", the controversial "Rated X", as well as the fiction short films "Are You Sleeping?" and "Bird's Nest", which have garnered several awards and visibility at festivals.

Lauren Atkins

She founded the NYC Web Fest (NYCWF), the first New York film festival dedicated to web series. What began as a one-day event has grown into an international gathering attracting filmmakers from around the world.
